Community Coats is dedicated to protecting communities from the Montana winters by empowering student leaders to engage and support those in need.
Goal One
Continue building a presence in Bozeman, MT by collaborating with the City and Montana State University to further expand our reach and impact more people in need.
Goal Two
Collaborate with local businesses and individuals to raise money, awareness, and support in the community.
Goal Three
Implement Community Coats in other university towns like Missoula, Butte, and Dillon by collaborating with student leaders and volunteers.

Our Story
Community Coats was founded in Bozeman, MT in November, 2021 when two Montana State students noticed so many people with no protection from the harsh winter. Both the Eastern-born students were shocked and sympathetic towards those shivering down the sidewalk, so they started to make a change. Originally started as a school club called Coats4Cats, the organization has grown to reach more and more people each year with over 500 garments given away to date!
